Parish School

The parish school, St Mary’s Church of England Primary, is a voluntary aided school with the parish priest having an ex officio role on the governing body. There are strong links between the church and the parish school with the weekly Friday Eucharist held in school being an integral part of the Christian ethos of the school and highly valued by both the school and the church community.

The parish priest is actively involved in the school and often teaches classes and visits different groups in school. The most recent OFSTED inspection judged the school to be Outstanding and great value is placed on high standards in every aspect of school life. The school participates in and contributes to several 10.30am Sunday services throughout the year and hold their Easter, Christmas and end of year services in church.
