The drumming group is run by 3 adult leaders and is open to children primarily year 5 and above although there are some younger members in the group.
Practice takes place on Friday evenings during term time between 6.30pm and 7.30pm with the group playing both samba and African drums. Since the group started the repertoire has expanded with the children now beginning to express more of an interest in creating their own compositions,
The Drumming Group have played at various church, community and fundraising events including Clough Day and they have even recorded their own CD. Members of the group have also used their new skills to help them work towards Cub and Scout badge work and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
